Adefarasi dedicates 2 billion Naira Rock Cathedral

Pastor Paul Adefarasi, Founder and Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, will on April 20 and 21, dedicate its headquarters, the Rock Cathedral valued at N2 billion at the Ikate-Eleguishi community, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Briefing newsmen during a tour of facilities, Adefarasi disclosed that the Rock Cathedral is a multipurpose facility that now houses the headquarters of the Rock Foundation and the House on the Rock.

He said: “The building with a total floor area of 32, 000 m2, accommodates facilities for worship, education, healthcare, community development, reformation training, recreation and social rehabilitation. The user-friendly main auditorium, multi-purpose halls and over-flow spaces comfortably seats up to 14, 000 people at full capacity. The project which is in its final phase of fittings and is aimed at bringing healing and reformation to this great nation will be dedicated on April 20 and 21, 2012.”

However, according to the clergyman, “the cathedral is equipped with state of the art audio visual facilities, offices, a 500-seater prayer chapel, landscaped and paved grounds, water fountain, iconic bell tower, multi-purpose halls, gymnasium, over 400 onsite parking lot and over 1000 additional parking spaces on adjoining.”

He added that the cathedral will also house “educational facilities for Nursery and Primary schools, International Bible Institute of Lagos, Vocational training and Rehabilitation Centre, a cafeteria with 250 seating capacity, line shops for retailing of Christian material, support operational retail-like confectionary, café, over 164 CCTV and water supply.”

Pastor Adefarasi is the host and convener of the Experience, an Interdenominational Gospel concert that features some of the best-known musical talents of the world.
